“B” the Change
It’s true – there is currently no cure for Hepatitis B. While we have made strides in the fight against HBV with the Hepatitis B vaccine, unvaccinated individuals who contract Hepatitis B do not have a cure, and may become chronic carriers of the infection. This does not have to be the case forever. With your help, we can continue to make strides in the fight against Hepatitis B, and hopefully find revolutionary new treatments akin to the work that has been done in the fight against B’s unvaccin
World Hepatitis Day 2022
VIDC celebrated this year’s World Hepatitis Day by hosting a pop-up testing site in Oppenheimer Park. Our amazing team of nurses tested over 40 people for hepatitis C, and our friends at Trish Juice supplied delicious refreshments for everyone on what was surely one of the hottest days of Vancouver’s otherwise mild summer so far. Councillor Rebecca Bligh also stopped by to show her support. Thank you to our friends at Gilead Sciences and the City of Vancouver for their support. Pictures below:
